I got ANOTHER chance this week to talk with RN Coach Jessica Smith about a topic that is near and dear to my heart: nurses nurturing nurses! (I had so much fun the first time, what can I say?!)
During the interview, we discussed:
1. Strategies you can use to attain a work-life balance with a busy nursing schedule;
2. How you can design your life around how you want to feel;
3. And how doing simple things each day can make a BIG impact on your overall health and well-being;
I can’t wait for you to check it out. Take care of yourself, nurse!

Bouncing Back From Burnout Interview With Jessica Smith, RN
Nurse burnout sucks. I’ve totally been there. So, it may seem odd at first to hear that I also LOVE talking about nurse burnout. In fact, I think every nurse experiences burnout at some point in their career (if you haven’t please email me back and let me know your secret!). Here’s the kicker: once you admit you have an issue with nursing burnout you open yourself to the idea of potential solutions. But if you just pull your hoodie over your eyes and continue to suffer in silence then nothing ever changes. And your burnout gets even worse. So, let’s talk about solutions for nurse burnout! Have a listen to my Bouncing Back From Burnout interview with fellow ER Nurse and Nurse Coach, Jessica Smith!

Pregnant Nurse Precautions To Consider At Work (Updated For COVID-19)
As an ER nurse who delivered my second baby in early 2018, I have done a lot of research about occupational hazards that pregnant nurses must be aware of when working at the hospital. My intent was to make sure that it was safe for me to continue working in such a physically demanding environment with so many potential occupational hazards. Pregnant nurses shouldn’t be afraid to work in the hospital. In fact, I am so glad that I was able to continue working safely because it helped me save money for maternity leave. Read on see how you can stay safe and healthy while working as a pregnant nurse!

How To Start A WordPress Blog On Bluehost
So you have something to say, do you? Why not start a blog? Starting a blog has been one of the most exciting and challenging things I have ever done in my adult life. I set out on a blogging mission to create a space where I could use my nursing degree to share self-care ideas with other nurses who are also moms. And I’ve been enjoying this ride ever since. I want to make it super easy for others to start a blog. So if you are an aspiring blogger like I once was, continue reading to see how easy it is to set up a blog of your own.

Recommended Blogging Resources For New Bloggers
Blogging can be overwhelming and confusing for a new blogger. When I was just starting out as a new blogger I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I searched the internet for information for months. Then, I became overwhelmed because there is almost too much information. Who is a new blogger supposed to trust? Now that I have an established blog up and running I am often asked for recommendations on different tools, training, and other resources available for new bloggers. These conversations encouraged me to put together a list of recommended blogging resources that have been instrumental in my success as a new blogger (I will add to this list as I continue to try new things!)
